Spotlight On: With Love From, Kat

While word of mouth had a huge impact on my introduction to the blog world, I found that more often than not, I learned of some of my favorite blogs through other bloggers.  I thought it would be fun to start a series shining the spotlight on some of my personal favorites where I’ll touch on why you should follow them and introduce you to the bloggers themselves.

Today I am so excited to put the spotlight on Kat Tanita from:

Kat has got that ”hint of glam” thing down to a science.  Her outfits are always spot-on and her collection of classic handbags will have you swooning.  Her background in design lends a hand to her impeccable taste for perfectly decorated interiors, and her travel pics will have you second guessing where you’re planning your next vacation.

Q&A:

If you could re-do 10 minutes of your life, what moment would you change and what would you change?  I would have gone back to Sophomore year of college and taken 10 minutes to talk to my advisor about studying abroad.  My sister studied abroad in Argentina this past semester and had the time of her life.  I saw first hand how much fun she was having when I visited her in November  I would have loved to study in Paris for part of my Junior year.

$1000 drops out of the sky with a note that says you have to spend it all today.  What would you buy? I would go buy the Prada patent pointed heels I’ve been wanting and these great Dita “Paradis” sunglasses from Barneys.

If you had to take yourself out on a date alone, where would you go and what would you wear?  I would get dinner at the Plaza Food Hall, wander through Central Park, and then grab frozen yogurt at Forty Carrots on my way home.  If the weather was nice I would wear skinny jeans, a blouse, a vest (I have a thing for vests!) and ballet flats.

What do you have a hard time remembering to do?  I am super organized so I rarely forget things, but if I do, I forget to pick up my dry cleaning before they close!

What is your favorite vacation destination, and what is a “must-do” while there? My favorite vacation destination with my family is Nantucket island.  We’ve been going every summer since I was born.  I love to hang out on the beach, walk along the cobblestone streets, admire the charming houses, and watch the boats dock.  My favorite vacation destination with a friend is Paris.  I could go on and on about Paris, but a must-do is walking along Le Sain at midnight and sitting on a bench with a bottle of wine just enjoying life!

Which of your blog posts got the most attention in the last year?  The blog post that got the most attention this past year was a recent post – it was “My Desk” which featured my new Bungalow 5 desk in my home office.
