A simple way to cinch your waist, hold a sweater closed, or to simply accessorize further is to add a skinny belt over top of whatever you’re wearing. The thinner the belt, the less overwhelming or distracting the look. You can wear it at your natural waist, or if you opt for a longer version, entwined in your belt loops. Don’t be afraid to knot the end or loop it around if you find that it’s too long; I actually prefer it that way! I’d recommend first purchasing a skinny belt in a neutral tone, but absolutely love a bright pop of color as well. My picks for a neutral toned skinny belt are as follows:

I have so many belts, it’s not even funny. I just bought an Ann Taylor belt that looks exactly like that first one. It find it’s always flattering to cinch in my waist, and really wear them all the time!
