This past weekend, Ryan and I joined his parents on a brief road trip to Pittsburgh, PA. Although we were both born there, it has been years since either of us had been back for a visit. We spent Saturday morning walking through the markets in the Strip District, spent some time down by the water that afternoon, took the incline to the top of Mount Washington for a gorgeous view of the city and had dinner and drinks at the Hofbrauhaus Saturday night. On Sunday, we walked through an art festival in Shadyside and passed through the neighborhoods that Ryan’s parents grew up in before heading home. In the short time that we spent there, I can say with confidence that the people in Pittsburgh are some of the friendliest, most welcoming people I’ve ever met. If you ever have the chance to pop through, I highly recommend it.

Love the pictures Emily!

Lovely city
it really is! thanks for reading, Janine! xx
That view from the balcony is incredible! I’ve never been there before. There was actually a dance conference a few weeks ago there that I really wanted to go to but I was unable to attend. Looks like a fab city though!

I’d definitely recommend making a trip there if you can, Amy! thanks for stopping by! xx
Such great photos!! I’ve only been to Pittsburgh once and it was probably 15 years ago. We went to a resort, which I think was an hour away if I remember correctly, and we spent one day touring Pittsburgh. I would really love to go back!
